Glengarry Glen Ross

Glengarry Glen Ross is based on a play of the same name written by David Mamet.
The film depicts two days in the lives of four real estate salesmen and how they become desperate when the corporate office sends a representative to "motivate" them by announcing that, in one week, all except the top two salesmen will be fired. The film, like the play, is notorious for its use of profanity, hence the R-rating. Edit: Came out in '92.

  39. One of my 'Desert Island Flicks' this one. The way Mamet builds his story into a crescendo of trouble is done beautifully.
If you want Mamet-speak, this flick is the one for you.
