Cool Runnings

Cool Runnings tells the story of the debut of the Jamaican bobsledding team at the 1988 Olympics. It stars
John Candy as the coach of the bobsledding team. The film does a good job demonstrating that the impossible can be made possible if you set your mind to it.

  21. In fact, if one of those Swiss boys ever come across a pretty girl, he probably yell, "eins, zwei, drei" and try to push her down some ice.

  23. Such an awesome movie-it always made me laugh. It's great seeing them struggle and push to get to the Olympics, battling prejudice, nay-sayers, and overbearing fathers to achieve their dreams, and the ending, no matter how many times I've seen it, always makes me start crying. And another thing I came to respect later on--the soundtrack is wicked! Such great reggae songs, and what's best is the filmmakers could have done an all-Marley soundtrack, but instead they chose more contemporary stuff that we probably have never heard before. Definitely worth watching.
