The Indian in the Cupboard is a 1995 American film based on the children's book by
Lynne Reid Banks. The story is about a boy who receives a cupboard as a gift on his ninth birthday. He later discovers that putting toy figures in the cupboard, after locking and unlocking it, brings the toys to life. The movie is directed by Frank Oz.

I don't mean to detract from your blog, but how are these films underrated? I must admit I didn't look through the whole list you have, but judging on the last 5 posts, I can easily say they're not underrated (I guess this is based on perspective). I thought by coming to your blog I was going to find someone who appreciates gems literally buried 6 feet under due to years of forgetting and high-action packed blockbusters. You know.. classics like Blade Runner, Seventh Seal, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Crimes and Misdemeanors, Miyazaki films, Being There (best Peter Sellers movie ever), Nosferatu, Eyes Wide Shut, Metropolis, etc. Instead, I find films of sentimental value. Oh well. please don't take this comment as an insult to your blog. I'm not trying to. I mean, to be fair, all of these things are subjective. I just... was so gravely disappointed
ReplyDeleteomri!
